Welcome, parents and families of our newest Rebels!
You're invited to attend New Student Orientation with your student on Aug. 21-22, 2008. When your student R.S.V.P.s for orientation, make sure you include your information too. There will be special sessions designed just for you that offer information about:
- Your student's transition to UNLV, including parent tips
- Campus services
- Paying for college
- Health, wellness, and safety
- FERPA – your rights, and your student's right to privacy
- Parent involvement opportunities
Parents of new students are invited to a Parent Reception at 5 p.m. on Aug. 21, 2008. This brief program will focus on the university's role and our commitment to your student through the programs and services offered by the Division of Student Life. It will be a wonderful time to mingle with other parents, learn how you can get involved with UNLV's parent programs, and meet members of the campus community.
